Mallory Decker is a former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot, call sign "Mad Dog," and a scholar of identity, leadership, and organizational change. She served in the U.S. Navy from 2008 to 2019, serving as a Helicopter Aircraft Commander, Legislative Fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives, and aide-de-camp at NATO Allied Command Transformation before entering academia.
Mallory is currently completing a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior at the University of Colorado Boulder, where her research examines how we can build connection to overcome workplace challenges such as AI transformation, gender bias, and stigmatized health experiences. Her academic and journalistic writing has appeared in Harvard Business Review, Human Resource Management, and Rotor Review, where she served as Editor-in-Chief. She is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar with a master's degree from the University of Edinburgh.
